The Kentucky Derby 2020 is less than 100 days away. The most famous horse race in American thoroughbred racing will kick off the Triple Crown just two years removed from Justify capturing the prestigious achievement. The Run for the Roses will take place at Churchill Downs on May 2nd, and punters can get the latest Kentucky Derby predictions and bonuses prior to wagering on the horse they believe will win the race.

A number of horses are being positioned as possible winners of this year’s Kentucky Derby. The antepost odds are very interesting with under 100 days to go until the first jewel in the Triple Crown. Authentic is currently the top racehorse in Kentucky Derby antepost odds at 14/1. But there are several other contenders that have looked impressive in the build-up to the Kentucky Derby.

Storm the Court

Storm the Court has received a lot of attention since winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile back in November. The horse was 45/1 to win the marquee race at Santa Anita sending shockwaves around the American thoroughbred horseracing world.

The horse is trained by Peter Eurton, who was also taken aback by the performance in November. Eurton hopes Storm the Court will improve and grow stronger in the remaining weeks before the Churchill Downs extravaganza.

Storm the Court has obtained 22 points in the Kentucky Derby points standings, ranking him No. 1. Punters can get odds of 33/1 on Storm the Court from a number of top sportsbooks.

Tiz the Law

Tiz the Law is 20/1 in antepost odds, according to leading sports books. The odds make Tiz the Law sports books’ second-favorite to win at Churchill Downs. Tiz the Law is a product of trainer Barclay Tagg. The horse has completed three races on the road to Churchill Downs, claiming two wins and a third-place finish.

Tagg has Tiz the Law stabled at Gulfstream Park in Florida preparing for the Kentucky Derby. Tiz the Law last ran at the end of November at the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs.

With the Kentucky Derby less than 100 days away, Tiz the Law will run in the Holy Bull Stakes held at Gulfstream Park on February 1st. The Grade 3 race offers a prize purse of $250,000. The horse has 12 points in the Kentucky Derby points standings.

Sharing a name with a famous men’s tennis player, Nadal wowed onlookers at Santa Anita on Sunday, January 19th. Nadal won his debut race having been held back due to injury concerns from a non-racing incident in the spring of 2019.

The Bob Baffert horse is one of the early favorites to win the Kentucky Derby 2020 and to replicate Justify’s performance in 2018. Justify was also a Baffert-trained horse and like Nadal, debuted late. Nadal is 25/1 to win the Kentucky Derby as it stands.

There is still a lot of time before the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs. A number of warm-up races must be run and the odds for the favorites could drift before May.
